By the end of the training you will be able to –

Understand how sensory processing allows us to function as active participants in everyday life.

Recognize characteristics of sensory (tactile, vestibular, proprioceptive, visual, and auditory) dysfunction and how these difficulties affect children's learning and behavior.

Behavior means something!". You will learn to link your child’s behavior to a possible hidden sensory dysfunction and make necessary accommodation

Recognize which sensory experiences help your child function better, e.g. touch and movement activities, and which backfire, e.g., noise, lack of sleep, scratchy clothes, processed food, and other environmental stressors.

Identify ways to make accommodations at home and outside, seek appropriate therapy, and increase opportunities for heavy work activities and open-ended play.

As parents, how you can catch your child before he/she falls?

Understand how Therapists and other professionals can "get in sync" with you to help observe, appraise, and address you child’s responses to sensory-motor experiences in his/her natural environment.

Identify In-Sync activities, specifically designed to engage various sensory systems and thereby improve learning and regulate behavior.
